Placeholder Heathrow Airport scene
The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
